Choosing a Sunflower Seed Roasting Machine for Your Line
Assess raw seed, seasoning, screening, cooling and packaging as one production flow when choosing a sunflower seed roaster.
Describe the incoming seed
State the seed type, whether you process in-shell seed or kernels, and whether cleaning or screening takes place first. Size variation, foreign material and differences between lots can affect feeding and the separation needed after roasting. Include these details in the enquiry instead of relying on the machine name.
Show the finished product and flavour target
Describe separately whether you plan to sell salted, unsalted or differently roasted seed. Discuss colour, crunch, seasoning distribution and defects you will not accept using a sample or photo. If possible, ask for a trial with a sample that represents your normal raw material; a result from another seed lot may not transfer directly.
Plan roasting together with what follows
Screening, seasoning, cooling and packaging should be considered alongside the roaster. Screening may remove unwanted pieces, while cooling and packaging determine the conditions in which the product moves to the next step. Draw these steps in a flow diagram and show whether equipment already exists or must be included.
Track the same sample through the whole trial
Record the incoming sample, machine settings, processing time and condition of the product after cooling. If seasoning or screening is also tested, keep its results in separate rows. The machine display or a hot sample alone does not verify the finished product that will be sold.
Write down scope and acceptance before ordering
Clarify the product, target result, included equipment, site connections and acceptance criteria in the quotation. Do not infer your result from a model name, another processor’s seed or general catalogue language. Confirm suitability against the current technical drawing and, where possible, a trial using your own raw material.
