Describe the requirement, not a standard capacity
Start with the product and desired result. The way hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts or seeds are processed, the target colour and texture, product changes and downstream steps all inform the configuration. A model name alone does not establish suitability for your process.
Use a sample and recipe
Where possible, share a representative raw-material sample and an example of the finished product. Review the current recipe, desired roast profile, cooling and the product’s next step in the plant together. This helps shape an enquiry around your actual material rather than generic assumptions.
Include site conditions early
Installation footprint, doors and handling route, electrical or fuel connections, ventilation and operator access belong in the technical review. A simple layout and photos of the existing line can speed up the first discussion; confirm the current drawing before ordering.
Clarify the manufacturing scope
Ask which feeding, cooling, controls, connection equipment, installation and commissioning items are included. Record exclusions and each party’s responsibilities in writing so the delivery scope is clear.
Agree on trials and acceptance
Before ordering, define the test material, finished-product target, measurement method and acceptance process together. A sample trial and current technical drawing make a made-to-order machine easier to assess. Confirm technical performance and delivery details with the manufacturer in writing.
